Thank you so much for your kind donation of 96 blankets on 11/6/2014.
I am very grateful that you have chosen the Exodus Foundation as the recipient of your generosity. Your gift helps us make a real difference to so many disadvantaged people in our community.
Without your generosity we simply couldn’t be here day after day providing support to those less fortunate than ourselves. Your contribution helps us keep costs down, allowing us to spend more money on front-line services for our guests.
Again, I am most grateful for your support and thoughtfulness.

I am writing on behalf of the Matthew Talbot Hostel to express our deep appreciation and thanks for your recent donation of Vellux blankets.
The Matthew Talbot Hostel, a ‘special work’ of the St Vincent De Paul Society. The Matthew Talbot Hostel is a 98 bed service with a drop in day centre, for homeless/at risk of homeless men, located in the inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo. The men who use the facility are predominately clients with drug/alcohol issues and mental health issues that display challenging behaviours.
I earnestly thank you for the time and effort that must go into such a donation and please be assured your generous donation will go directly to the men.

Thank you for the blankets that you donated to Narellan Congregational Community Services via Jeanette Kingston.
These blankets have brought great pleasure to many people. One family where the mother has a degenerate disease with two sons with developmental disabilities received a blanket for each bed. When the Mother received the blankets through a volunteer she spent time deciding which beds they should go on. lt appeared that she wanted to keep them alt for herself. We have contact to this home as each Friday a volunteer takes the older boy (19years) out for lunch and then brings him here to the centre for a game of pool.
Another family where the mother has Multiple scoliosis with three young children. The community Services provides support to the mother by a volunteer taking the children to the library where they read, play on computers and play with t]re toys available after school as needed. This mother was given two for each bed and she cried as the volunteer helped put them on the beds.
One more story. A lady that is our challenge client. She is lovely but has a son that treats her very badly. The mother will not seek the support of the police etc. The service takes her shopping once a week. Again having a clean blanket gave her delight and us too as we are so pained at times to see her in such a situation.
we,have iust a few left as the blankets have found, homes where having a new, clean, warm blanket has made a difference and the knowledge that people do remember them and care.
Of course we have loved the pleasure and privilege of being able to provide something tangible as we work with these people.
Thank you for you generosity.
